This December, Main Street Theater is bringing back the holiday favorites Miss Bennet and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley via live, staged readings on Zoom.

Is it possible to be released from the bondage of suffering, while still in the midst of it? The World Premiere Adaption of THE HIDING PLACE asks us these questions, while simultaneously being an answer to them. Additionally, A.D. Players holds strong ties to the telling of this story. Founder Jeannette Clift George starred as Corrie ten Boom in the critically acclaimed film adaptation after working alongside Corrie to bring her to life on the screen. This heart-wrenching and enlightening play sets the tone for A.D. Players' 53rd Seasona?'A Season of Hope.

Main Street Theater (MST) announces its 44th Season which includes six productions on the MainStage and six at its Theater for Youth for 2019-2020. 

Main Street Theater extends its hit production of the unconventional new comedy The Secretary by Kyle John Schmidt.  Added performances are Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16 at 7:30pm.  The production runs through February 16 at MST - Rice Village, 2540 Times Blvd.  Performances are Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm.  Tickets are $36 - $48, depending on date, section, and availability.  All tickets are on sale via phone at 713.524.6706 or online at MainStreetTheater.com. 

I realize part of the fun of THE SECRETARY is it never comes down heavily on one side or the other on the gun debate, but that also means I sat there frustrated as I felt there was little point to whipping out pistols and taking on issues.

Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company continues its 2015-2016 season with Steven Dietz's BECKY'S NEW CAR, directed by Ron Jones, and featuring Celeste Roberts as Becky.

Actor's Equity Association artists Ron Jones, Celeste Roberts, Joel Sandel, David Grant, Nick Henderson and Lauren Smith will produce Houston's first Equity Showcase production, the Houston premiere of Tennessee Williams' rarely produced THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE.

Main Street Theater begins its 2014-2015 Season with Noel Coward's rarely produced drama, Peace in Our Time. MST's production is in collaboration with the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance and features a company of 24 actors.With previews September 13, 14, and 17, Peace in Our Time opens September 18 and runs through October 19 at Main Street Theater - Rice Village, 2540 Times Blvd. Performances are on Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm plus one Monday evening performance on September 22.
